The email flow

How it works

There is no account to create and no form to fill in. A Section 32 review is requested by email and delivered by email.

  1. Email the Section 32 document

Send the Section 32 with its supporting documents to the service's receiving address. The address is provided when the service is activated for your firm.

Attach the document — a PDF or Word document works — and the service reads the subject, body and attachments.

  2. Receive an acknowledgement

As soon as a valid request arrives, the service emails the sender a short acknowledgement. The review is then processed in the background, so it is not limited by how long the sender stays connected.

  3. The document is reviewed

The service checks the document against the legislative reference corpus, assesses each Section 32 disclosure category, and flags the risks and cautions it identifies. Every flagged item is verified against the document and the corpus before the review is delivered.

  4. Get the review back by email

The service replies to the sender by email with a cover note and the review attached as a PDF. The PDF is a formal, consistently styled document that can be saved with the file.

What happens with other requests

The service only handles Section 32 / contract review requests. If an email is not one of those, it replies to say so rather than guessing. If a review cannot be completed after the request has been accepted, the sender is emailed that the review could not be completed, so nothing fails silently.

If an email is delivered twice

A repeated or retried delivery of the same email is processed at most once, so it will not start a second review or send a second set of emails.
